ThermaLock Fitting/Sheath

MadgeTech ThermaLock Fittings are stainless steel fittings made specifically for NanoTemp125-CF Loggers. The fittings are used when conducting wireless heat penetration tests of foods in cans, jars, and plastic packages. Fittings are installed into a hole in a container of product (created using a Can Punch) and allow a logger’s probe to be installed into it. Fittings also allow a HiTemp140-CF Logger to be installed into it. The size of the fitting is based on the size of the container to be tested. When purchased, a ThermaLock fitting includes a body (sheath), a Fitting Gasket, and a nut.

Determining Fitting Length

The length of a ThermaLock Fitting depends on the size of the container you will be testing. For cans, plastic cups, and recart packages, the fitting should be sized to reach the middle of the container. For glass jars, the fitting should be sized so the tip is at the cold spot of the container.
